Description: USDA Certified Organic. Goldenseal root also known as yellow root or turmeric is extracted in glycerin and water. Light to medium amber liquid. Contains berberine which is known to sooth skin eczema, irritations and inflammations. Preserved with phenoxyethanol. Water-soluble, pH 4-6. CAS# 84603-60-1.

INCI Name: Hydrastis Canadensis (Goldenseal) extract.

Properties: Goldenseal extract contains berberine that has antibacterial properties and can be used in products for acne and deodorants. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-irritating properties make it a good ingredient for face cleansers, products for the irritated skin, sun and bath products, and soothing lotions.

Use: Add to formulas as is, typical use level: 5 - 10%. For external use only.

Application: Anti-aging formulas, sun care and after-sun care products, makeup-up, and hair care products.
