Mica Majestic Green

Description: natural shimmer pigment derived from the mineral Muscovite Mica (potassium aluminum silicate), coated with titanium dioxide & chromium oxide green, cosmetic-grade fineness (medium particle size 18um), permitted exempt color for cosmetic use. Insoluble, but miscible in liquids (sinks to bottom in thin liquids). CAS# 12001-26-2, 13463-67-7, 1308-38-9.

INCI Name: Mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide.

Properties: Gives deep color with shimmering & pearlizing luminiscence.

Use: Suspends best in thick bases, can be blended with other pigments.

Application: All kinds of decorative cosmetics & personal care products to add pearlizing & luster effects.

Zinc Oxides: Which One is Right for You?

Regular zinc oxide has a particle size of >200 nm (nanometer), a visible whitening effect on the skin, is water dispersible, gives great coverage in makeup products and lip balms, and offers good protection in baby care products.
Micronized zinc oxide has a particle size of <200nm (mean 86nm), has a minimal whitening effect on the skin, is water dispersible, offers superior sun protection but does not offer coverage in makeup products.
Micronized zinc oxide coated with silicone offers basically the same features as non-coated micronized zinc oxide but is easier to disperse in oils, and works well in formulas containing carbomers.
