Description: This kit gives a truly natural and healthy mineral makeup. Within minutes you can create a professional mineral powder makeup providing excellent coverage and a flawless natural look. It will last for hours without touch-ups and acts also as a natural sunscreen. The mineral makeup is suitable for all skin types. It is completely oil free, non-comedogenic and free of preservatives.
 

Content: Mineral makeup base containing titanium oxide, zinc oxide, and cosmetic-grade mica pigments; Pigment blend of your choice will contain high-purity iron oxides (red, yellow, black & brown). Other items included are: Spatula, powder sifter jar with protecting seal, high quality kabuki buffer and an instruction card.
(Note: the base and blend does not contain bismuth oxychloride and ultramarine blue or any other additives.

Quantity: Gives approximately 58g (2 oz) of loose mineral makeup powder that will last for many months.

Direction for Use: Recipe and method are included. Note: to prepare the pigments a mortar and pestle is needed which are not included in the kit but can be found on this site under "equipment".

Zinc Oxides: Which One is Right for You?
Regular zinc oxide has a particle size of >200 nm (nanometer), a visible whitening effect on the skin, is water dispersible, gives great coverage in makeup products and lip balms, and offers good protection in baby care products.
Micronized zinc oxide has a particle size of <200nm (mean 86nm), has a minimal whitening effect on the skin, is water dispersible, offers superior sun protection but does not offer coverage in makeup products.
Micronized zinc oxide coated with silicone offers basically the same features as non-coated micronized zinc oxide but is easier to disperse in oils, and works well in formulas containing carbomers.
