Description: Natural, dried exsudate from the stems & branches of the Acacia tree in Africa, consists of various polysaccharides (starches) as glucuronic & galacturonic acids. Fine, white powder, faint odor. Water soluble, insoluble in alcohol. Prehydrated for better integration into formulas. CAS# 9000-01-5.

Properties: Effective o/w-emulsifier & dispersing agent, foam & emulsion stabilizer, thickener, adhesive & film-forming properties.

Use: Add to the aqueous phase of formulas, usual concentration 1-10 %.

Applications: Creams, lotions, balms, pomades, shampoos, body washes, makeup products (e.g. mascara, brow & lash gels).
