Description: Concentrated 200x aloe vera powder derived from the hollow interior of the leaves of the Aloe plant (aloe barbadensis Miller). Consists of >75 ingredients includingamino acids, enzymes, hormones, minerals, saponins, sterols, sugar (starch), lecitins & vitamins. Dry Powder, faint herbal odor. Water-soluble. CAS# 85507-69-3.
 

INCI Name: Aloe barbadensis.
 

Properties: Potent moisturizer, regenerating & healing agent (penetrates skin stimulating the immune system & increasing blood circulation), anti-inflammatory effects, anti-aging effects (increases collagen synthesis & skin elasticity).
 

Use: Dissolve in water to make stock solution that is adequate for adding to formulas. Due to high concentration (200x) it can also be added directly to formulations at very low dose.
 

Applications: All skin care products, soothing creams & lotions, sun care & after-sun products, shampoos & conditioners. Aloe vera in powder form is especially convenient when making large batches. It has also a longer shelf life than liquid aloe vera.

Zinc Oxides: Which One is Right for You?
Regular zinc oxide has a particle size of >200 nm (nanometer), a visible whitening effect on the skin, is water dispersible, gives great coverage in makeup products and lip balms, and offers good protection in baby care products.
Micronized zinc oxide has a particle size of <200nm (mean 86nm), has a minimal whitening effect on the skin, is water dispersible, offers superior sun protection but does not offer coverage in makeup products.
Micronized zinc oxide coated with silicone offers basically the same features as non-coated micronized zinc oxide but is easier to disperse in oils, and works well in formulas containing carbomers.
