| Instant Cold Emulsifiers (ICE) |
| Instant cold emulsions (ICE) are a brand new, patent-pending ingredient that allows to make high-quality creams and lotions instantly by just mixing ICE powder with water. ICE powders deliver wax into an emulsion without the use of heat. The physical form of the ingredient is a powder, and when mixed with water, turns quickly into a cream or lotion. The combination of water and ICE powder induces polarity from a non-polar material. Oils, esters, preservatives and other active ingredients can be incorporated into this ‘base’ and can be mixed directly into the emulsion. In cases where there are high loads of oil present, 1% of a liquid emulsifiers will easily maintain uniformity. In contrast, with low levels of oil, these ingredients can also be used to formulate emulsifier-free products. |
