Method
Add phase A into a disinfected glass beaker and stir until the gum is dissolved. Add phase B to phase A in order and stir gently to mix all ingredients. Add phase C into a separate beaker. Heat both beakers to 150oF/65oC. Add phase C to phase A/B and stir until it is a homogenous solution. Remove from heat. After the temperature has dropped to 100oF/40oC, add phase D to phase A/B/C and stir again. Adjust pH to 5-6 with citric acid.

Method

Sprinkle the xanthan gum into the water and mix well, then heat the phase A also to 150oF/66oC. Add phase B to phase A and stir until it is a homogenous cream. After the temperature has dropped below 100oF/38oC add phase C and stir again.

Method
Give phase A into a clean, disinfected glass beaker. Heat phase A to 150oF/66oC until all ingredients are melted and well dissolved. Prepare phase B in a separate glass jar by sprinkling the xanthan gum into the water and stirring with high speed. Heat up phase B to 140oF/60oC. Add then phase B slowly to phase A while stirring. Mix with high speed for a short time. Let it cool down by gently stirring. When below 100F/40oC mix it again with high speed.
Properties
This sunscreen lotion provides UVA and UVB protection due to the ingredients om-cinnamate and titanium dioxide. The water-in-oil emulsion provides some water resistancy and the allantoin acts as anti-inflammatory ingredient. |

Method
Add phase A into a glass beaker and heat to 150F/65C, until the wax and butter is melted. Remove from the heat. Add phase B to phase A one by one and fill while still liquid into lip balm sticks or lip balm jars. As soon as the liquid has become solid, the lipbalm is ready to use.
