Polyglyceryl-4 oleate is an ester of oleic acid and polyglycerin-4 which is formed chemically by esterification of fatty acids (oleic acids), largely saturated or mono-unsaturated, to one or several hydroxyl groups of polyglycerol. As glycerol is a trifunctional molecule, it is then condensed with itself to give a tetra glycerol polymer.
