Non-ionic emulsifying blend for making oil-in-water emulsions. Contains cetearyl alcohol (mass balance RSPO) and cetearyl glucoside. HLB value 11-15.

Manufacture
Cetearyl alcohol is a mixture of the fatty alcohols cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol which are made by catalytic hydrogenation of the triglycerides obtained from vegetable and coconut oils and followed by oxidation of a chain growth product of ethylene oligomerized on a triethylaluminum catalyst. Glucoside is produced by the reaction of glucose from corn starch with the fatty alcohol decanol which is derived from coconut.
